In a few hours all you wholesome early-to-rise types (you know who you are) 
will start posting your "first bird(s) of 2008" lists. Well, I plan to sleep 
in tomorrow morning, so instead I'll note that my *last bird* of 2007, 
observed as I refilled the feeders at dusk, was a Northern Cardinal. C'mon, 
folks, you have until the final hours of 2007 to hear the final owls of 
2007!
