Despite my earlier mention, I did manage to get out for a couple of hours to 
check out the local environs. I made three stops which are annotated below. 
Highlights were Red-breasted Merg on the North East River and Long-tailed 
Duck at the North East Harbor.


Hances Point; south of North East, MD:
GB Heron
Canada Goose
Mallard
Common Goldeneye
Red-breasted Merganser
Common Merganser
Red-shouldered Hawk
Bald Eagle
Turkey Vulture
Ring-billed Gull
Herring Gull
Great Black-backed Gull
Bonaparte’s Gull
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
M. Dove
Fish Crow
Am. Crow
Blue Jay
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Winter Wren

N. Mockingbird

(plus a few of the previously mentioned passer. species)
Note: I expected Siskin and Purple Finch here. Last week I had Am. Tree 
Sparrow here too and on the CBC there was a Common Redpoll reported... 
next time, I guess???
