Perched within two feet or so from each other on a limb high in a sycamore at
the up river tip of Cobb Island –seen from the riverside trail-were two, I should
say, the two, mature bald eagles. -About 500 feet from the long established
nest. The male to the right and considerably smaller than the female. The
sexual dimorphism is striking. They seemed comfortable with each other.
In the river buffleheads, ring-necked ducks, perhaps scaups, geese and
mallards. |
