Met John Landers for a late, 3 hour amble from 1100-1330. In spite of
our heightened senses and my SongFinder ears, it was pretty much a case
of Dullsville, with only 24 of the usual suspects. The highlight occurred
early, a female MERLIN perched atop several tall trees, being jazzed by a
few Jays. The other highlight was an obliging HERMIT THRUSH near
the end of the elevated dike loop trail, but not obliging enough for me to
take a pin-up photo. Nice walk.
