A coworker and I were walking through the woods here at SERC in Edgewater yesterday at lunch and were surprised to see a Mourning Cloak flying around. I guess they come out and take advantage of warm weather whenever they can!

While not feathered fliers, last night and tonight, I saw bats out flying about as well as many insects.  I even saw some buds on some bushes.   Do these folks know something we don't (that spring is closer than we think) or are they in for a very rude awakening (or in this case, a rude death)?
