After finding the second half of Finzel Swamp's entrance road impassable for
my Ford Focus, I headed back East to Rocky Gap State Park. The cold and wind
was just as biting there, but without the snow element. I thought I would
check near the Aviary to see if there were any more siskins or other
finches. No finches were found, but one very cold looking HERMIT THRUSH
hopped up along trail near the Aviary with its feathers fluffed to their
fullest extent. Other birds of note included singles of Golden-crowned
Kinglet, Bufflehead, and Common Raven.

Good Brrrrrrrr-ding!

David
