Location: C&O Canal (Lock 38)
Observation date & time: 1/21/08, 7:20 am
Notes: Very cold this morning. The extra layers of clothes made it very
difficult to bird, but good considering. I stayed out for about a little
over an hour until beaten by the cold. I birded east along the towpath
about ¼ of a mile, but didn’t make it any further than a little beyond the
Norfolk Southern train bridge. I believe there were more birds to be
identified, but the cold/extra clothing really affected my ability to locate
all the birds I heard. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it.
