Hello all.
I was on patrol in Brooklyn Park this morning and while sitting at the stoplight
of MD 2 North and Hammonds Lane noted a Pied Crow on top of a light pole.
There were about a half dozen American Crows in the area as well.
I know it's an exotic, but it's a cool bird to look at. If you happen to be in
that area, you may be 'lucky' enough to see it.
This is my third sighting of a Pied Crow in northern AA County in the last 2
years...so either this is something I should be proud of or I need to get out of
the county more often!
Anyway, back at Fort Smallwood, I again found 3 female Common Goldeneyes
near the pier area along with 6 American Coots and about 4000 Scaup sp. in 2
large rafts along the Patapsco River/Rock Creek waterway.
