Hello MDOsprey,
After four tries, yesterday (2/5/08) I found the two PEREGRINE FALCONS perched on a tree overlooking the Potomac River and I-495 on the downriver MD side of the American Legion Bridge. Great contrast of male and female size characteristic, since they were perched 15 feet apart. Viewed from the Potomac Heritage Trail in VA.
Bird species #43 in my Big Green Birding Year. Other birds of note in the Potomac were C. MERGANSER and HOODED MERGANSER.
