Anyone on the OSPREY interested in helping a friend of mine ID some
birds NOT from MD?

Thanks (in advance) and please feel free to reply off-list,

Good Birding,

Hi Dan,

How's it going? This email is regarding some bird photos I have from
my trip to Tibet last summer that I can't identify (I mentioned them
to you at December's Bird Club meeting). If you have some time and are
up to the challenge of identifying some Himalayan birds, I'd really
appreciate it! There are at least 3 species of birds - two of them
were taken at Everest base camp and the other one (of which I have the
most and clearest shots) was taken on top of a mountain in Shigatse,
in south central Tibet. The two Everest birds may be hard to identify,
because they were taken from a distance, but I know that one of them
is definitely a raptor of some sort (I'm refering to the photo taken
of me with Everest in the background). The Shigatse shots have
multiple birds, including chicks, which were pretty cool to see. I
think you'll have the best luck with those.

I don't want to overwhelm your computer with there 8 photos (the
resolution's pretty large), so I uploaded them to my Flickr account.
You can view them here. Click on "All Sizes" to see the high
resolution pics.

I hope things are going well for you, Emery, and baby Declan. I hope
to catch one of your shows the next time I'm in town. Thanks, and
happy birding!
