Hi All I just want to report that signs of the coming Spring are showing up here in Queen Annes County Geese are begining to forage in the fields more often just as they do every spring before leaving for the north . Yesterday late afternoon 2 - 6 driving home from Work I was on Green Spring Rd near Queentown and a bat flew over my truck . Maple trees are showing swelling flower buds [won't be long now ] . This morning 2 - 7 there was a large flock of Ring Billed Gulls in a field on Charmicheal Rd near Rt 50 at Queenstown . Upon arrival at work a Carolina Wren was singing away to proclaim the coming season .
Also I though folks here would like to know that this Sunday 2 - 10 at 7:00 pm on Maryland Public TV PBS our area its channel 22 Annapolis will be airing a program on the plight of the Horseshoe Crab and Red Knot in the Delaware Bay . This weeks Nature episode is called Crash A tale of two species . Be sure to check it out .
Happy Birding
