Hey everyone-

I had a fantastic day yesterday, as I joined Leslie Starr, Kevin Graff, Pete
Webb, and Steve Sanford for a rarity chase.  We arrived at the Crossbill
sight about ten minutes after it had been last seen, but before long, it was
going to and from the feeder every ten minutes, providing some stunning views.

We then went for the Bunting, and just as our car arrived, Kevin rushed us
over to the spot, and we were able to see the Bunting on the feeder for
around two minutes at 10:40 am.

We decided to try for a trifecta of rarities, and went after the Shrike at
Cromwell Valley, but had no reward after about two hours.  However, there
was a very obliging Kestrel sitting on the telephone wires, and I was able
to snap some pictures.

All in all, it was a great day, with two lifers for me, and I am going after
the Shrike again in just a few minutes.  See the Crossbill/Kestrel/Bunting
