I had a call this a.m. from a lady in the sykesville/woodbine area who located a hawk yesterday stuck in a tree. The bird is an immature which she cannot identify, but has a band and leather falconer straps. Does anyone have information on falconers or naturalists in the area that may be of assistance in reuniting this bird with the owner?
The hawk is not injured and is eating well for its caretakers at this time.
