Hi Everyone,

I spent a great day in Dorchester Co. today with Frode Jacobsen and Tom
Feild. Our plan was to take our time working the same general route as
last weekend, but focusing on photography. We started along the Cambridge
waterfront, and then worked Blackwater, Shorters Wharf Road, and Cedar
Creek Road. Our most noteworthy birds were 14 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANs
along the Blackwater wildlife drive and an adult GOLDEN EAGLE soaring
roughly over Rte. 335 at the end of the wildlife drive. Word on the street
is that there are at least four Golden Eagles wintering in the area this
year. KILLDEER and DUNLIN were more numerous (or at least conspicuous)
this weekend than last, with 26 Dunlin on Shorters Wharf Road and over 50
at Blackwater in the late afternoon. Also nice were small numbers of
Common Mergansers, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Tree Swallows, and
American Pipits. Many thousands of SNOW GEESE were present along the drive
today, and it was excellent watching them commute before dusk.

I'm pretty psyched about the photo haul from the weekend. Hope you enjoy!
