Hi all

On a lark, I decided to try for the Northern Shrike in Cromwell Valley one more time, since a tantalizing number of people had spotted it recently. I was there Tuesday from 8:00 - 9:30. For the seventh time, I came up empty. I think I'll stop going now. If I try one more time and miss the bird again, I may give up birdwatching. Oh, well. I guess this kind of thing is what makes birding an extreme sport.

Blue Jay - 3
Red-tailed Hawk - 1
American Kestrel - 1
Carolina Wren - 1 (heard only)

White-tailed deer - 14
Man walking dog - 1 (each)
