After another quick pass at Cromwell, trying to relocate (unsuccessfully) the
shrike for Joe, we went out Cromwell Bridge Road to Loch Raven Drive and
were pleased to see four drake REDHEADS, along with two drab females,
among the waterfowl between the dams. The light was perfect and their
heads were vibrant in the early afternoon sun.
There were also a few American Wigeon and Hooded Mergansers among the
scores of Ring-necked Ducks and Canada Geese. We had seen two Bald Eagles
along the way.
