Rick - I'll concede that -  That was the one the at I got the least 
good look at since it was in flight crossing 50 as I was driving 
along doing 65, so I had to rely on memory before I could get back 
home to my Peterson Flash guide for hawks.  It was a very dark hawk 
whose underwings were dark on the leading edge  light on the trailing 
edge.  I thought it was on the smallish side and that is why I 
thought broad wing rather than rough-legged. By the time he changed 
aspect from his underside to more of a profile I didn't get to see 
anything of the tail that would help further.
