Hi all,

   Yesterday, I made a quick trip to Violette's Lock on the C&O canal.  The ducks
were plentiful, as in Redheads and lesser Scaup. A quick rundown:

40-55 Redhead Ducks
60+ Lesser Scaup
2-3 Greater Scaup
6 American Widgeons 15 Flyovers or so
Common Mergansers 2 small flocks flying
4 Pied billed Grebes
1 Horned Grebe
8 Mallards
4 Gadwall

1 Bald Eagle
1 Red shouldered Hawk
Blue jays
8 Yellow rumped Warblers
Several White Breasted Nuthatches, and Chickadees
1 Chipmunk
