Birds act like they can mob a hawk or owl (or whatever) with impunity, which
makes me wonder: Does the predator -- whether perched or flying -- ever make
a sudden lunge and grab one of its tormentors?

Personally, if I discovered a large, dangerous animal inside a hole, I sure
wouldn't stick my head inside to scream at it. Then again, birds can't throw
things at their enemies!
