Hi MD,

This morning (Sunday, 2/24) I found 4 Greater White-fronted Geese at North Branch, Allegany County. J.B. Churchill found one bird 1/5/08 at the same location. That bird was my Allegany Co. first and it took more years to find one than I care to think about. Now there are four. Makes you wonder why it took us so long to come up with the first one. The birds were with a group of about 100 Canadas and were located just short of the farmer's field where J.B. found his. All four appeared to have orange bills and were presumably of the Greenland race.

Pinto Pond had 3 Redhead ( 2 m, 1 f ) and 2 Canvasback ( 1 m, 1 f ) as well as a number of Gadwall.

Happy trails ....
