Hi All,

Nancy and I will be leading an all-day Kent County Bird Club trip to the
wetlands and pinelands south of Cambridge, starting with Blackwater
National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday 2 March. We expect to see lots of
waterfowl and eagles, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Bald Eagle and other
raptors (a fair chance for Rough-legged Hawk or Short-eared Owl), and
perhaps some early spring migrants. Recent reports from Blackwater have
featured American White Pelicans, and Greater White-fronted Geese. We
will meet folks in Kent County at the Dollar General parking lot across
from the intersection of Spring St. and MD-213 at 8:00 AM. Anyone who
wishes to meet us south of Chestertown should contact Nancy and I at the
phone number or e-mail listed in the signature below. Bring lunch and
snacks and dress appropriately for this all-day trip. We hope to see
some of you on Sunday.

Good Birding,
