UPDATE:
There were two female COMMON REDPOLLS this afternoon found by Bill
Hubick at Fort Smallwood Park. When the Haas family arrived just
after 5PM, the bird was sitting right in the middle of Leo's scope.
That was so convenient! Thanks Leo.
I don't know whether or not Leo, Ranger Matt or Bill will be there to
point out the bird, but let me suggest the following:
Go to where the old Fort is located. The two REDPOLLS were seen
feeding on sweet gum balls in the grass with some Juncos and a Song
Sparrow.
Thank you Bill for this lovely Friday afternoon LIFE bird.
Have a great weekend,
Dan Haas
