Today at lunch time, I looked out my office window. A
bird off in the distance was not quite acting like a
Turkey Vulture. I pulled out my binoculars and saw
that it wasn't a vulture, but instead was a Bald
Eagle. It came closer, flying behind and over
buildings, and displaying its white tail and head
better and better. I managed to show it to a coworker
before it disappeared out of sight, heading west.

This is, believe it or not, the third Bald Eagle I've
seen from my office windows. All three have been
adults. The first was very distant, lazily circling
one summer afternoon; the second had flown maybe 200
feet past my window and was getting ready to disappear
behind a building when I spotted it.

Excitement.
