I stepped out of my house to walk the dog, and immediately, I heard
Tundra Swans. They were fairly close.
I estimated 200 +, although I could not see individual birds, just this
astonishing loose V of white in the air.
30 seconds later, I heard another group coming. This group was much
closer/lower. In fact the birds flew right over my property, and I could
discern individual birds. I counted 550+ birds. Wow!
Both groups were flying almost due west (perhaps 8 degrees north of due
west).
This sublime sound each March always opens my soul to Spring.
