I just received a phone call from a friend of mine at the Eden Mill Nature 
Center in Harford County.  He reports that a fellow canoeist photographed 5 
Sandhill Cranes while canoeing from Mariner Point Park (Joppatown, Harford 
County) yesterday.  The canoeist was canoeing around the wetlands at the 
mouth of the Gunpowder River.  I have been assured that the canoeist knows 
the difference between Sandhill Cranes and Great Blue Herons.
