Hi!

I canoed a couple of miles around Southwest Area Park this afternoon. It was
very windy when I set out, and immediately noticed a PEREGRINE FALCON
trucking past overhead. There were very few waterfowl on the river, and it
was surprisingly quiet in the woods along the shore.

Patapsco Pond #10 still holds a nice assortment of ducks- NORTHERN SHOVELER,
GADWALL, COMMON and Hooded Mergansers were all present. Two BALD EAGLES were
on the nest in the back of the pond. Stan Arnold's directions to that pond
can be found here: http://mysite.verizon.net/cakarbutus/patapsco_ponds.htm
