Fred et all,

You can simply add to the excitement.

I did wonder if anyone had a chance, would they mind a quick visit
Turkey Point, Northeast and surrounding areas this week with a scope?
On Sunday evening, the Bird Couple (Warren & Lisa), Ross (Good
Migrations) and I observed an extensive raft of Tundra Swans for as
far as the eye could see in between Turkey Point and Harford County.
It was impressive to say the least.

I couldn't help thinking it was like that line at the airport...
stacked up like... like swans... all waiting to depart on their
journey North. Waiting for clearance from the tower to take off.
Being asked if they packed their own luggage, if their possessions
have been with them the entire time and then having their nail
clippers taken away.

In all seriousness, if anyone is in that area, I would welcome a
report noting whether or not these hundreds of swans have taken to
the skies yet.

Good Birding,

Dan Haas
