The Red-necked Grebe that Bob Ringler found yesterday on Liberty Lake was present this evening.? I had talked with Bob about where he saw the bird and decided to try looking immediately north of the parking area at the end of Oakland Rd instead walking to the far eastern point of the peninsula.? This proved successful as the grebe was close to shore in the cove just north of Oakland Rd.? Afterwards I went to Freedom Park to look for American Woodcock.

Liberty Lake:
Red-necked Grebe - 1 Carroll only
Common Merganser - 2 Carroll, 4 Baltimore
Horned Grebe - 9 Baltimore only

Freedom Park in the field on the right immediately after passing the first baseball diamonds:
American Woodcock - 1
Barred Owl - 2
Fox Sparrow - 4 including 1 singing
Rusty Blackbird - 1
