HI all,

Sorry I forgot to post this report. Was on way to
drop off few things at a friend's house nearby when I
saw this large robust-size accipiter gliding into NE
wind in good view, I quickly pull off into
construction entrance to get better look. It was a
beautiful adult with helmet-shaped face, large wings
and long wide tail, dark gray back, light gray
streaking below, bigger than female Cooper's Hawk.
Haven't see one in Baltimore in a while since my fall
hawkwatching from 1992 to 2001 in my backyard. Often
see at least dozen a year during fall migration at my
old place.

It would be nice if they can add rocks or something
to fill the bottom of the lake so it won't be too deep
for ducks to dive for food. But there is no food there
and no vegetations around the edge to make the lake
more natural. Bufflehead there was unusual without
fishes and was loaded with earth-moving excavators all
around it.
