Raptor Observations:
A Cooper's Hawk with no tail that looked like a Short-eared Owl; Turkey
Vultures streaming with the daylight moon in the background; 88 TV's in one
kettle; best day so far this season with notable numbers of Cooper's Hawks
and Red-shouldered Hawks

19 Horned Grebes yesterday, 42 today; 4 Red-throated Loons

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on
Wednesdays.
