Folks
This morning just after dawn a single Hermit Thrush was doing it buzzy, raising call note in my backyard. Not the chup note often heard. I noted this since I had not heard it in some time this year. Perhaps a migrant moving.
Also, a single Song Sparrow is fattening up on black sunflower seeds, a pair of towhees, a good number of juncos, and white-throats are moving through. My over wintering Ruby-crowned Kinglet continues to consume suet. It should be gone in a couple weeks as well.
It won't be long for the Wood Thrush shows up.
