Yesterday morning (March 23) we were greeted with the calls of Laughing
Gulls flying around over Leeds Creek. The previous day three Wilson's Snipe
were seen in a field beside Sharp Road near Pickering Creek. And on the
21st a pair of Wood Ducks seemed to be checking out our Leeds Creek Wood
Duck box.
Meanwhile, the Pine Siskins (6 or so) continue to spend most of the
daylight hours feasting at our thistle seed feeders here in Tunis Mills.
Both Red-breasted and White-breasted Nuthatches are taking turns at one of
the suet blocks.
A friend in Easton reports a Killdeer on nest with four eggs at a site
beside their patio.
