Hi all. This morning on the way to the hardware store before work, I turned off of Rt 40 onto 213 North. On the Corner is a Seasons Pizza, and as I drove past it on the left I noticed a Hawk sitting in the grass next to the parking lot. I thought I saw a mustash but wasn't sure. So I swung around and came up to the parking lot and drove right up to the Perigrine Falcon devouring a 2nd Year Ring-billed Gull. That was way to cool. The sun had not come up yet, but after I spent about 15 minutes or so, I headed back to the real world. On the way back from the hardware store about 20 minutes later, She was sitting on the Telephone pole sunning herself. At least I think its a she. She was large in structure. I also think its a first year bird but I am not sure.
More importantly she was banded. I would like to know where she is from and where she is going. I included a photo of the band on the site.
Check out the pictures.
