Today while Trout fishing at Shad Landing SP I saw and heard my FOY BG
Gnatcatcher. It was eating the same fly's that the trout where eating. It was fun
to watch the Gnatcatcher swoop down over the trout feeding frenzy to catch a
fly. Other birds I saw at shad landing,
4 Pileated Woodpeckers
15 Ruby Crowned Kinglets
3 Golden Crowned Kinglets
6 Eastern Phoebe
1 Osprey
2 Bald Eagle
5 Carolina Chickadees
6 Wood ducks
30+ Fish Crows
2 Hermit Thrush
43 American Robins
1 Louisiana Water thrush
6 Pine warbler
13 Tufted Titmice
14 Chipping Sparrows
12 Goldfinches
15 Brown Headed Nuthatch
2 Red Breasted Nuthatch
5 White Breasted Nuthatches
16 Northern Cardinal
Unfortunately no trout where caught but seeing the Blue gray Gnatcatcher
made it all worth while.
Back home in Pocomoke I have a nesting pair of Blue Jays right outside my
living room window.
