Raptor Observations: A rush of birds as the cold front approached. Nice run of harriers, (2
adult males), kestrels and accipiters
Non-raptor Observations: An American White Pelican flew northwest over the Park; 25 Red-throated Loons; 35 Horned Grebes; 25 Bonaparte's Gulls; northward movement of Fish Crows; Snowy Egret; Purple Martin; hundreds of Tree Swallows

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
