I found three pairs of Yellow-Crowned Night Herons sitting beside their nests along Sligo Creek Parkway today (in two of the cases, directly above the parkway - where they were last year) between Wayne Avenue and New Hampshire. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more but I almost drove into the creek several times looking.
