Hi,

I visited Blue Mash Saturday evening and was surprised to see the
Short-eared Owl was still there.

I saw the bird several times around 7:50. It was getting fairly dark
and I never saw it with my naked eye, but only when scanning with bins
or my scope. I did get one very good scope view where it crossed over
the crest of the hill and hunted briefly on the slope across the pond.

Other birds noted include:

6 Bufflehead
4 Green-winged Teal
4 Canada Geese
2 Woodcock (seen through the scope in flight - none heard displaying)
2 Great-horned Owls calling

A great way to finish the day!
Tom
