Piney Run Park was crowded with fisherman this morning so I birded the north side of the lake while others checked the west end where the cranes were seen yesterday, but not seen today. There were probably many more birds present today but the boats kept many things on the move or forced them out. My sightings included:

Canada Goose 25, plus one mostly white Greylag
Wood Duck 1
Mallard 6
Green-winged Teal 14
Greater Scaup 1 female
Unidentified scaup 6, at least
Bufflehead 20
Goldeneye 1 female
Common Merganser 1 male
Ruddy Duck 6
Common Loon 2
Pied-billed Grebe 4
Horned Grebe 3
DC Cormorant 12
Great Blue Heron 2
Osprey 1
Coot 12
Ring-billed Gull 5
Beaver 1
Boatloads of fishermen 44 in sight at one time

Later I went to the west end of the lake and added one Stasz to my day's list.

Yesterday I had a bonanza at my feeders, 4 Goldfinches. Most days during the winter there were none.
