Roosevelt Island, Wash, DC, 2 Apr 08, 1200-1300

Despite cool and windy weather, birds were numerous during a noontime
walk with 34 species observed on or around the island.  Highlights
included 2-Wood Duck, 1-Osprey, 1-Cooper's Hawk, 2-Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker, 8-Northern Rough-winged Swallow, 1-Winter Wren,
1-White-crowned Sparrow.
