I had an adult Bald Eagle over the Rockville Sportsplex about 3 weeks ago.
It was fairly low but I presumed it was a migrant (though heading SW) but
perhaps not?

Hi Clive, Michael and all,
The bird(s) you saw may have been migrants but may just as likely have been
one of the many that are now nesting in our vicinity. There is a new nesting
pair on Little Seneca Lake at Black Hill Regional Park, another at
Triadelphia Reservoir, another at Rocky Gorge Reservoir and of coarse the pair on Conn
Island. Perhaps others. They are really expanding their range locally as
well as nationally. Always nice to see more eagles, especially when you're
standing around in a public place and you can point them out to non-birders!
