When Steve and I... thatıs Steve Sanford, you understand, arrived at the
McKelkin Area of PVSP we saw Bob Ringlerıs car. Gave him a call... saw this,
missed that, which trail? Downstream we came to a dense stand of bamboo
where we found a Louisiana Waterthrush (LOWA) singing on the Howard County
side of the river. Two seconds after the LOWA burst into song my cell phone
rings and itıs Bob. He said he found a singing LOWA near a clump of
Bamboo... I glanced at Steve (who was listening in on the conversation -
with out a phone) and he said to the bamboo ³Ah, Bob weıre over hear.²

Other notable species from McKeldin were Brown Creepers, Pileated
Woodpeckers; Northern Rough-winged Swallow; and I got a quick look a Fox
Sparrow.
