Hi Everyone,

Yesterday morning Rob and Wendy Olsson, their nephew Julian, Carol, and I paddled the Corker's Creek loop from the Shad Landing section of Pocomoke River State Park in Worcester County. Although we didn't encounter anything unexpected, we had a great time. We highly recommend this easy paddle--a peaceful and scenic way to enjoy the birds of the swamp forest. Some of our Neotropical migrants were back in force:

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher--47
Northern Parula--9
Yellow-throated Warbler--19
Prothonotary Warbler--16
Ovenbird--8 (most heard while driving through the park)
Louisiana Waterthrush--1

We also encountered 4 Dark-eyed Juncos (slate-colored) near the entrance to the park.

Have fun,
