One can also use the National Weather Service Sites, for example:

where links will take you to current observations, radar, etc., and a 
click on the map
will have an extended forecast for that point, and you can even get 
hourly forecat plots.
Another excellent site, from the National Center for Atmospheric 
Research, is:

> http://www.rap.ucar.edu/weather/

Ans a third good site is the College of Dupage, Illinois,

> http://weather.cod.edu/analysis/

where links will lead you to excellent displays of observations, radar, 
satellite, rawinsondes,and model output!
