I took a leisurely hour and a half hike around the famous Annapolis
point. A few notables: one NORTHERN GANNET, my FOY BARN SWALLOW and 5
new BROWN THRASHERS that have joined the two that wintered here.

Noticeably absent in 2008: hearing any NORTHERN BOBWHITE. Their
regular springtime serenade hasn't been heard here on the point yet
this year. Perhaps the foxes and unleashed dogs have had an impact?
Perhaps they heard about the new rugby fields that are about to be
built on the point? Whatever the case, I've not heard a one yet this
year. The closest I've heard are a few weak impersonations from the
slew of NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRDS singing all over the point.

I was also hoping for a RUSTY in the marshy areas, but saw nor heard a one.

It was nice to see the sun again.
