Good birds for the lake! He also mentions that he's seen a
Bald Eagle on the Paint Branch Stream Valley Park trail
between Cherryl Hill Rd and the University of Maryland: "Not
quite fully mature as the head isn't totally white."

Observation date: 4/8/08
Notes: Male horned grebe in breeding plumage with rusty
brown chest/throat. Both horned grebes near Ruddy Ducks in
N. half of lake. The Common Loon was a beauty, just
floating around in the Western part of the S. half of the
lake. There was a pair of green-winged teal on the eastern
side of the N. half of the lake, resting on a branch in the
water. A few of the land birds (like the Pileated WP and
Field Sparrow were on the trails near the lake, Pileated to
SE, Field Sparrow near the elementary? school).
