Jay Sheppard and I are leading an Anne Arundel Bird Club field trip at the Little
Patuxent Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve tomorrow, April 12th. Hopefully, the rain
will hold off, but if it doesn't we will also be available on Sunday, April 13th, as
a raindate.
Our plan is cover the easy trails in the morning starting at 8:00 a.m. If you
ever wanted to visit the Oxbow and get to know where the good birding sites
are, this is the time you'll want to be there.
There's an optional afternoon opportunity, too. After a break for lunch (either
bring your own or grab a quick bite at one of the nearby fast food
restaurants), Jay and I will show you some of the other entrances into the
Oxbow area.
For anyone in the Annapolis area, the Anne Arundel Bird Club is meeting at
7:30 a.m. at the Parole location to carpool/convoy together. See the club's
website at
http://www.mdbirds.org/about/chapters/AnneArundel/AACo/fieldtrips.htm
For anyone who just wants to meet at the entrance to the Oxbow, we'll be
starting around 8:00 a.m.
