Location: Western Regional Park entrance pond, Howard County
Behavior: Scritching in mud at edge of pond
Size: ~ Song Sparrow
White belly and undertail
Heavy brown streaks on chest
White throat
Prominent yellow stripes over eyes, thinner yellow stripe on top of head
Yellow stripes extend all the way to back of head
White "mustaches" (I think that's what they're called)
Smallish bill for a sparrow
Brown/black/white patterned back and wings, a bit rufous in places

It's all that yellow on the head that really throws me.
