Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from Apr 3,  2008

            This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot
County, who continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of the Paul
Sarbanes Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island. 
            These sightings include the birds seen on Apr 3, 2008.  Some of
the birds were seen from the boat during the trip from Tilghman Island and
back. 
	
	Note the presence of  Barn Swallow, Northern Gannet, Merlin and
several shorebird species.  
	
	Weather: Overcast am & pm;  Temp range 40-50 degrees  F
