Early this morning in east Columbia I saw a male and female Purple Finch
perched in the top of a Tulip Poplar., A Blue-headed Vireo sang briefly and a
newly-returned House Wren announced its arrival with a longer song. A Ruby-
crowned Kinglet, a pair of Eastern Phoebes, and two Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
were also in the area.
