Jim and all,

I too had a HOUSE WREN singing away for the first time this year in
the yard here in West Annapolis.

Later this morning while I was out visiting Anne Arundel County
schools for work, I saw a WILD TURKEY on the side of the road (alive
and well) about 25 yards from Gibson Island Country School.

While I was there, I also saw an American Oystercatcher, Northern
Flicker and a Clapper Rail. I should tell you... those last three
birds that I mentioned were donated by a parent to the school some
years ago. They were super easy to spot as the birds were stuffed and
mounted. As an added challenge, they had no identifying plaque or
sign so no one in the office knew what they were. But now the office
secretaries are delighted to know that both a Clapper and an
Oystercatcher are in the building with them at all times.
